There is no programming. The remote device opens your car when you push the button. If really advanced and the car is so equipped, it will also activate the alarm system and start the car.

There should be a relay box under the dash on the drivers side. Open the remote and open the relay box(a tiny black or clear box). There should be numbers that you can match together so they will be able to signal eachother. Hope this helps.
