I'm thinking about purchasing a 2004 BMW 325i (39k miles) but before I do I want to how mechnically reliable the '04 325i's are and what are some issues that the car has. Also, I'm interested in knowing typical yearly maintenance and repair costs.

BMW's normally have powertrains that run forever, its their electrical stuff that always goes. It seems like the germans make a great engine, but suck at wiring..
