Why are BMWs driven by idiots?

Every time I get cut up, or some idiot tailgates, they're always driving a beemer. Is there some sort of test to prove you can't drive before they'll sell you one?

A bit of a generalisation because there are bad drivers in all makes of car, but BMWs do seem to attract a certain "type". Let's be honest, they're not particularly great cars, but some people do seem to regard them as a statement vehicle, and I suspect that it is that sort of person who has the "my car is better than yours attitude" which leads to poor driving.

i drive a bmw and i am a good driver, no accidents in 20 years. i find that other drivers assume that you are up your own ar.se if you drive one and try and cut you up as if to put you in your place. i never tailgate, its stupid and dangerous and i would never put my (or anyones) kids in danger.we only got ours as a treat after a sh.it.ty year in which our other car (an astra, which i prefer,) was torched, it was our way of showing we wouldnt be beaten
