Is a 1996 Acura 2.5TL a good car? Any known problems or issues? Do you reccomend it?
Ok...here goes nothing. Your 97 Buick doesn't take freon, it uses the new R134. There should be 2 ports coming out of your air dryer. One is the high pressure service port and one is the low pressure service port. When you are making any repairs to your a/c always use the low pressure port. If you use the high you could be in for some expensive repairs and possibly a stay in a near-by hospital. Chances are that if the air conditioner in your 97 Buick isn't working, it needs more than just a quick charge of R134. You might have a leak in the condenser, compressor, or evaporator. The only way to tell is to take it to a shop and they will perform a leak test. If they find a leak you will have to have that repaired before you can recharge your a/c. I have an '89 Riviera who's a/c hadn't worked for years. It used the older freon type and when I had it serviced I had to have it changed over to the R134. It held a charge for a little while, but after 2 weeks it didn't work again. My mechanic wanted to charge almost $200 to recharge it so I bought my own test gauges, hoses, and R134 on ebay and tried to service it myself. I found a small leak in my evaporator and to replace that would have cost me over $1000. I found this stuff called Super Seal (at the local Auto Zone) and used that and 1 can of R134. To this day, my a/c cools down nicely and there are no more leaks. That stuff sealed up the small leak I had in the evaporator core and I would recommend it to anyone! Plus it contains lubricants for all the seals inside your a/c lines and inside the compressor. Here is a link to their website...www.efproducts.com
2000 Land Cruiser won't go out of 4WD??
Oh yeah, anyway, the port you are looking for is the only one that will hook up to a R134 recharge hose (the larger one of the two). It should have a black cap on it that needs to be removed before you service it. Also, the recharge hose will not work with the high pressure side...it only works with the low pressure.
I need help on car before prom plz!!!?
I also believe that they have photos on their website...but that won't help you unless they have a '97 Buick.
Would you reccomend fixing the pistons on a 1995 Camaro versus getting rid of it?
Good luck!
