I've had one for seven years now and the only major problem I've had was that I had to have a new Steering rack put on it about two years ago, the guy that put the new one on said that it had been tampered with before, so it looks like it was a former mechanic I had work on it rather than an actual fault. My Scirocco 16v runs, but the battery light stays on!?
The Ka is excellent, I love it. The handling is brilliant and although it is slightly underpowered it is surprisingly nippy at times. The boot space is minimal, but you've got the back seats for carrying stuff if you really want to do a 'big' shop. Plus I did manage to get myself, two friends, and all of our luggage in mine for a week in Newquay, Cornwall drove from South West Wales all three of us perfectly comfortable and happy - so you can get stuff in if you know what you're doing!
I've had Fords before this one and had always said that I'd never have another one, but this car is an exception to the rule. If I was to buy another Ford, it would be another Ka and nothing else.
Where i can find solonoid B inside tranmission in ford 97 expedition?
My sister has had one for the last 3 years, from new. She finds it a great wee car - cheap and economical to run and goes like a rocket. When I was looking at possible other cars, she recommended it to me. They're quite cute as well. :-)I think they are ugly looking cars. I know someone who has one, and has had no problems with it though.
How do I replace belts on 1993 Toyota Corolla?
The problem my sister had with hers was the boot size is tiny, because of the shape of the car and could not fit a decent shop in it or her push chair :)03 mitsu endeavor will not come out of park -- please help.?

Dagenham Dustbin - Avoid - for every good one there are ten bad ones!Did you know that KIA's are p.o.s???
I bought a new one 2 months ago and its great, the boot is not very big but if your using it for general driving its great - around 50 miles to gallon, my mother liked it so much shes bought one too.FERRARI or PORSCHE you prefer? and some famous marks (cars) of UK?
I have one and its awful. Ive had lots of problems with my breaks. When its very windy it doesnt feel at all safe. Its like a tin can on wheels. Also it costs about £150 in road tax and that is going up to £165. If you wont be making any big journeys it will be ok but if your gonna make big journeys everyday I recomend you get something else. I wish I could get another car but I cant afford to. Also it only has 2 doors which can be a bit annoying at times. Good thing is because its so small it does get into allot more parking spaces that other cars wouldnt. But I think for the age of my car it shouldnt have cost me so much.Jeep Wrangler, Doors off on STREET Years Legal?
It is a good car, with limitations. What is the best engine i can put in my chevy cavalier 2000?
The performance is adequate, but nothing special.
The engine is quite old technology, so it is durable, but not very high-performing, easy-revving or refined like a modern equivalent engine (such as the 1.26 16v unit in the Fiesta).
The ride is ok, the handling excellent.
Interior space in the front is fine, but the rear is cramped, and the car is only a four seater, not a five seater like many rivals (your insurance won't cover you if you carry an extra person, and that person can be fined for not wearing a seatbelt).
Boot space is slightly poor, while interior storage space is atrocious.
The car is generally reliable, parts are cheap, and any half-decent back-street garage can repair them.
Audi A3? Volkswagen Golf? Which one is better?
Go for a one around 6 months old..I hear that the price drops by 44% as soon as a new one is driven off the forecourt.
so a 'nearly new' will cost around £4,000
As for performance and reliabilty, I don't know, but I would like to find out as I may buy one.
Removing my catalytic convertor?
If I should ever buy a Ford (which I doubt) itwould be a Ka.
It is easy on petrol and looks OK, baggage room may be a problem but if you can live with
that - why not.
But with British-made low-cost cars there are too many "Monday cars" compared with Asian
cars - they have better quality control.
Pontiac G5 Supercharger + Cold Air Intake?
Don't buy a Ford they are crap...this company only cares about profit and puts the cheapest parts on them. Get a Toy Yaris, Hyundai Getz, Honda Fit, Nissan Versa...don't buy a Ford. If u see how much the value drops it tells u what kind of reputation Ford has.Need Engine codes for ls motor non-vtec?

personally i think there one of the ugliest cars on the market right after the smart car.
2000 Nissan Maxima SE - problems with acceleration?
if the size and looks is what you like then yes, they only suffer with a few suspension problems that are found but not major or expensive (wishbone bushes and top strut mounts)most models have power steering and air conditioning. fun to drive cheap to run and lots of goodies to bolt on !
It's a great little car, nippy, handles like a go-kart, not too thirsty, and cheap to insure. The parcel shelf is a bit flimsy but You can't have it all.
Izzit just me, or are foreign made cars (outside of US) a better value.?
front and rear suspension mounts go, quite a few have had duff steering racks, many have been loan cars but they are cheap to repair just look hard and be choosey.Depends on your requirements I suppose. We have a LHD with 47000 km (29000 miles) since new in Apr 05. Its had a hard life being mainly driven on autobahns with the right pedal nailed to the floor (ie 145Km everywhere)! Very economical, comfy unless you're tall and much better on the motorway than a car this small has any right to be.
This is our 2nd Ka, the 1st was just as good. If you get one go for a lowish spec because the Ford extras are pretty naff - aircon's worth it though. Try to get the duratec engine (I think these came in a couple of years ago) but don't worry if it's the older motor - contrary to uninformed marque partisanship Fords are engineered to a pretty high standard (once the plastic bits have fallen off anyway).
They are great cars in town or as a general biffabout, ours even has a set of Thule roof bars to give it some much needed extra carrying capacity.
Probably the best of the small slower cars for being a bit of a Schumacher in - the handling's brilliant but you never get going fast enough to be at risk (I hope).
In Europe cars tend to be kept for longer than the UK and cover greater distances. The Ka is very popular in Germany where the Ford badge carries no stigma but he car buying public is pretty critical.
Get one.
