is a 97 camry e.c.u. (computer) the same as a 2001 camry?
I would have to say 73-79.They were made heavy duty back then and had moderate technology too.Anything before that has no technology and anything after that isnt heavy duty anymore.Chevy really started slacking off in the 80's.Their trucks got to be more light duty and didnt last as long.Anything before 73 didnt have much technology.Things like no power brakes and no power steering.Gas tanks located behind seats and just goofy stuff like that.Just my own personal experience and opinion.'70-72

def. the 73-87's seein is how I have a 75Everyone is going to have a different answer to this question. For one, its Chevy's!! So we ALL LOVE THEM!! So in my opinion, they are ALL the best years. Now personally, I have owned a 69, a 71, a 76, a 78 3/4 ton, 79 1ton, a 85, and a 96. I loved them all for different reasons. The 67-72 are very popular for rebuilding, they are awesome street trucks. The 73-87 is basically the same body style with changes to the front clips, and changed in how the metal was treated to prevent rust. 88-99 are basically the same, and if you love TBI or fuel injected or in my case, if you like the Vortec engine, you probably prefer these. And then 00- present, well they are newer so some people might prefer the upgrades. All in all, all the Chevy trucks are awesome trucks. They are tough, resell value on them is high, there are typically more Chevy pick-ups still on the road in ALL the years then any other make of truck. So if you want my opinion, I think anyone that answers this question is right.
All years were the best.
