Well, let's see... you've asked the question in a FORD category, so wouldn't it stand to reason that you are talking about the FORD 302 rather than the CHEVROLET 302? They used them in the '68 thru about '70 then went to the dish pistons in the smog era years. In '77, they started back again with the flat tops and used bigger chambers in the heads to get the compression ratio down. If you wanted to use stock factory parts to get around a 10:1 compression, get a 302 out of a '77 to '80 Granada, and a set of heads from a '65 or so 289; and viola! Then put a 351W cam in it and....! I'll hush now or I'll be going on forever on the potential combos of fun stuff.More Questions & Answers ...
