GLX is the top of the line model. It includes all of the usual mid-level luxury features of the GLS, like power windows and locks, mirrors etc. and it ADDS extras like a trip computer, electronic climate control (Climatronic) and rain-sensing automatic wipers. I believe most, if not all GLX Passats will have a leather interior as well. As far as I know the GLX is also only available as a V6, wheras you could get the GLS with the base model turbo 4 cylinder as well.I have a 2004 Ford FX4 and have question about warning lights on my dash?
My information may be slightly out of date and is based on the generation 5 Passat, but it should still be technically very accurate.
The GLX option is the more luxurious option. GLS is your more basic model.
Do you only go by size when looking for rims?
i own a shop,and most of the difference is in the trim package and option package they come with,,one will have more and better options than the other one will have on it,,other wise there almost the same car,,a lot of the parts will inter change,on the two of them also,,but other than a few different options there's not a lot of difference in them at all,good luck hope this help,s.happy new years.How much does it cost to have a body kit put on a car?

Buying a car was worse than when I bought my house, so this was very helpful.I drive a 2003 Passat GLS...it's just the luxury package that is offered through Volkswagen. Kind of like a SE or a XE Corolla or something like that...
