Question:
could you run them hard? did they last forever?
Answers:
yes they are and are pretty much indestructable. I have one in my 1982 ford 3/4 ton and its been on many mud runs in its day but the motor still runs good and clean.
I have an Audi tt coupe quatrro MT6, what is MT6?
the 460 is a stroked 429...same family of engines...now they are fuel injected...yes, they are durable, their engine blocks have main cap webbings that are robust, this engine makes massive amounts of torque at low rpms.Anyone have any information or experience with Nissan Muranos?
Sure the big'ol 460 is good. Most engines with a long production run are good. If you want to run'em hard, help it take the abuse.Give it a high volume oil pump & do ALL the required maintenance on the car/truck.I need the code for 99 cadilac escalade?
They were one of the best back in those days very powerful engines and they still make them now for motor homes and some other limited use so that should tell you right there. I have owned dozens of cars with the big mighty 460 and only one has failed me. And yes you can run them any way you like I pulled trailers across country with 460 raced with it you name it.460 was one of the best, but like all engines, lack of maintence, and overheating kills them. The ones that were used correctly and maintained right, lasts forever
03 mitsu endeavor will not come out of park -- please help.?
YES. It is known for is durability. I own one in my F250.They are not really a performance motor, although I did
mod. mine a bit. If you want proof, go to ebay look at F250's
with 460's. you'll see some very high mile survivors.
