I have a 1997 Class A RV. FORD 460 Engine. I would like to change both (2) fuel pumps. Where are they?

Question:
Any diagrams out there? It's a 30ft Class A 1997 RV. I understand that the pumps need to be replaced. One in the gas tank? Other on Engine?

Answers:

Mercedes benz in germany?

Unless you have two fuel tanks, there should only be one that's in the fuel tank. Regarding another matter, almost ALL those engines WILL warp exhaust manifolds, and crack cylinders heads on the very back two cylinders (#4 & #8), due to excessive heat. Something you should know ahead of time.

There is none on the engine... just the one in the tank under usually the bed (In the rear aft axle) that I am aware of.. You may have a lift pump assembly with one on the frame rail but usually the pumps have enough volume by themselves in the tank to feed it to the front (most of that is overhang with a good 3-4 feet after the fuel tank to the back of the truck...)

unless you have the tools, it's not a fun job (done too many of them on the ground)
