Question:
i have a 2000 Ford F150 and i just put 3 inch exhaust from the catalitic converter to the back. i have about 3 1/2 to 4 feet of exhaust then my two chamber flowmaster then it immediatly turns down and thats it. although i did not pay attention to it before, now that i have this bigger exhaust when i shift into low the engine does not slow me down it simply goes to an idle RPM. could the 3 inch exhaust cause this? or is it lack of compression or what?

Yep, it's the exhaust. What you are experiencing is the loss of backpressure.More Questions & Answers ...
