The modulator is located on the front (radiator side of the transaxle, below the exhaust crossover pipe. Disconnect the vacuum line, and remove the mounting bolt or stud, then withdraw the modulator. Remove the o-ring from the modulator cavity, using a small screwdriver or hook. Use a small magnet to remove the modulator valve from the transaxle. inspect the valve for signs of abnormal wear or scoring. Installtion is the reverse of removel procedure. Always use a new 0 - ring and make sure the modulator valve is installed the same way it came out.
