Porsche Radio isn't working?

Question:
Porsche 996 (2003), the battery died and then after jumping it and running it for a bit the radio wont work. It turns on, and I can see the presets and volume and even the CD, but there is no music. I can't hear anything but the radio will function. (its not the mute button as far as I can see)

What are the main differences between an audi a4 and the a6?

Prior to this time The Porsche battery died and the radio would come back on like normal. But this time for some reason the Radio is not playing any music but is functioning. Any Ideas? I was thinking Porsche might have a Radio Key (PIN i.d.) like Mercedes but I don't see that anywhere in the manual.

If I remember correctly ,if the radio needs a code the display
on the radio will read CODE.if your getting everything but sound I would first check the fuse at the bose amplifier in the
front compartment/

Yup, head over to the dealership and they can pull up the code via the vin number. It may have been that previously the battery had just enough juice to keep the radio code.
