I had a 2.0 HDI on a 52 plate. Fine car, bit rattly, did 76,000 miles in 3 years, no problems.
I had several safety recalls on the car, check to ensure all these have been done to yours - any Peugeot dealer should be able to tell you.

How do you get the FWD light on a 1998 Subaru Forester to go out?
I've got a 307 2.0 HDi 136 on an 04 plate. Been pretty much OK so far. Done 30000 miles in 2.5 years. Only problem I've had is just had to have rear brake discs replaced due to excessive wear but pads were not worn down to limits, in my experience this appears to be a bit of an issue with Peugeots, I had same problem with my previous car (306xrdt)What else can i do to get my head lights on my 1983 toyota to turn on?
isn't it a little late to be asking now!! anyway, cars have moving parts, these parts will wear out,the build quality of pugs these days is pretty good, keep on top of servicing an replace worn parts, happy motoring. These are really good cars,my friend has had the 3O4 and the 306 and has had no problems. Parts aren't too expensive either should you need any repairs in the future. In my opinion you should go for it.But always get the opinion of a mechanic or at least a friend or family member to have a good look over the car before you purchase it.

not a bad car if you keep on top of the servicinghow can i fit 24 inch rims on my 2001 impala?
If your car is a petrol, they are fairly well proven. i worked for peugeot for 5 years, and although a bit sluggish, the engine is tried and tested. However, the diesel 1.4 is new on the market, and is better suited to the 206 range, as the 307 is much heavier. The 307 usually suffer mainly from electrical niggles, as the components are known to be sourced as cheaply as possible. Brake discs were a problem from new, with a faulty batch , but this should be cleared up by now. The indicator stalks are always suspect, and if you get any lighting issues, the stalk is more than likely to be the cause.Porsche Cayman Question - Seat / Comfort Issue?
These cars are pretty reliable , This engine itself has been used by peugeot for a number of years with no real problems , It was used in the 106 -206 - 306 -307 only problem is I feel it is a little under powered to pull a 307 along the road but if its not speed your after then it will be fine , Down side on the 307 is the poor interior build quality e.g carpets to small for the floor , seat backs falling off , these things can be fix for approx 1/2 labour at a peugeot dealership as they have had lots of practise fixing these issues . I would contact you nearest dealer with your chassis number at hand and ask them to check for any recalls outstanding .Hope this helpsDoes anyone on here have a Volkswagen car? If so do you like it or loath it?
