Looking at a subaru forester; has anyone had any major problems with theirs and if so, what was the problem?

I would say so. But if you buy one of the years mentioned I suggested buying one from a VW lot that is either still under warranty or they provide a warranty with the purchase.

Ford Expedition Question Again?

I had a 2001 Jetta on a 3 year lease. Within the 1st year I had to replace all the brakes & calipers. The last 1.5 years of the lease my gear shift (automatic) would not move from Park. Some days it would take me 20 minutes to move my car. The problem is you have to hold down the brake to shift it from Park...the sensor wasn't recognizing I had the brake engaged.

How do I get keyless entry on 05 chevy trailblazer?

If you are able to buy a new one 06-07 I would suggest that. According to my VW salesman that problem has been corrected on the newer models.

Can FUEL pumps start to fail "off and on" "over time"? or do they just fail completely?

Good car, make sure you get a CDI model--the diesels are terrific mileage and better engines for reliablitiy. You can have a diesel with reg oil changes run up to 350-500K miles...

I need advice for replacing the gauges on my car?

Go for the one with warranty from the dealer. The reliability data doesn't show a steady trend for this car, so anything could went wrong especially after 75k for a used car. Repair is very expensive if you bring back to dealer without warranty. Unless you know some shops who can fix it for you cheap then you can just buy the original parts from the dealer and ask for discount at the parts/service counter.
Other than that, it's a fun-to-drive car especially if you get a manual transmission and drive it around the city/town. Spacious after the rear-seat being folded down, you can put a lot of stuffs, ski-rack, golf set...very good for picnic, camping. Mine 1.8T wolfsburg still giving me a pretty good mileage after 6 years owned, the steering is precise enough and never have the mis-alignment problem at all because I only do the tire replacement, never do the rotation/alignment. Problems do come, but as long as you know what went wrong and where to fix, then it can let you drive for long time.I know couple good shops fixing VW in bay area, california, if you need those info, just ping me and let me know.

My answer is yes. I bought a 2006 VW Jetta 2.5 and I love it! I have 8 airbags and traction control. I feel much safer than I did in my 1989 Jeep Cherokee. It's safe, sporty and fun to drive. I highly recommend it for new drivers.

Has anyone leased a gmc acadia? How much are you paying if i can ask?

I have a VW Jetta and it will be my daughters first car in a few years. They are very safe and are built with good safety features. It gets good gas milage and they are built to last. I would most def say yes it is an excellent car for a new driver. Also my brother in law is about to get his lisence and he prefers to drive my car over everyone elses because of the features.
