i just got a tune up and when i put my car in park the idle goes down and acts like it is about to cut off and the engine light comes on at the same time. what could be the problem ?

If you just got it tuned up, take it back to the shop and have them fix it. Doesn't matter what the problem is, it is something the did, or didn't do and they are responsible for the work.
It could be any number of things, vacuum leak, bad or disconnected sensor, bad or disconnected relay.
