2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport V6 4wd?

Question:
Does anyone know if a dirty PCV valve on my jeep will cause my check engine light to come on? My Jeep has only 38,000 miles on it and the light just came on today. The last time it came on I was running to rich of a fuel in it. Now I don't know what it is, as for it runs like a new car!

Answers:

Mercedes do the cars in USA or in Germany?

It could, but then again so could a myriad of other things, have it checked at a mechanic who can scan and read the codes.

What do u think is a better allaround car chevy or ford?

The 4.0L inline 6 does not use a PCV valve. Jeep didn't use a V6 in the 2000 XJ. The check engine light can come on for thousands of reasons, from a loose fuel filler cap to a severe engine misfire. You need to have it scanned for fault codes to better diagnose the problem.
