What do you have to say about the Scion tC?

Question:
I'm thinking about purchasing the Scion tC. But before I do so, I'd like to get some feedback about it. So what do you think about the Scion tC and do you own one yourself?

Answers:

How do I find out if I have a H.O. in my 95 grand cherokee?

I own a '06 tC in Flint Mica, dark gray and I love it! I am constantly getting compliments from people old and young, but mostly glares from Honda owners, lol. It was the tC that switched me from American muscle to Asian import. Just check out all the special features and you'll be amazed! It's like the Swiss Army knife of sporty compact cars, seriously!

How to drain Power Steering Pump...?

It's a very reliable car. Most people don't break their cars in properly and they run into problems later on with gas mileage and reliability. I am at 23k miles and get great gas mileage, 30mpg on the highway and 25 city, and that's with a lead foot! I have had a few rattles, but only when on really bumpy surfaces, nothing to annoy me. Plus the music is constantly on and I wouldn't be able to hear them anyways!

Honda Accord '97 Special Edition LX?

As for the looks, I think the car looks sporty with a touch of class. With all the aftermarket parts out there you can design your car the way you want it to look. It is marketed as a "blank canvas" for customization. That is the main reason I bought the car, something different. There are too many uniform Hondas out there, plus they aren't as roomy as this car.

Why do people buy AC cars and still travel with windows down in summer and still bear the heat ?

Whatever your decision, take your time and test different ones. But I guarantee you'll feel better just sitting in the tC. Plus it's got a Toyota engine and fully loaded will be 20k out the door!

Well i don't exactly know much about them but since i work at a Toyota and i drive a few of them a day..i think they feel good and they are nice cars especially the manual :) but according to one customer from today she said they aren't very well built..but i like them.. :)

I am buying 2007 honda vp. Do you think it is good idea to add security system adding $500 bucks?

I owned a tC for about two years, selling it this fall.
It was a 2005 model and while it was a very nice, comfortable car, it had it's problems.
The interior exhibited rattles here and there that many trips to the dealership never resolved. Aside from that, the fuel economy was not as good as I would have liked.(partly due to my heavy foot)
All in all, I found it to be a great car in style, utility and reliability. The standard transmission version is much peppier than the automatic.
Some updates have been made for the 2007 model year that should make it even better.

The A/C in my 2003 Doge Ram pickup (1500) blows ice cold until I stop moving. Any ideas?

As an owner I can say, after much previous research,I found it to be the best and most features-inclusive car for under $20,000 (tax and title included). Two things I would change:
1) the black interior (a dark gray would be nice) and I wish it had a rear-window wiper. Other than that, I am thrilled with it!

I would recommend it highly.

Is scion tc economical on the freeway at speeds of 60-65 mph?

All the Best.

I have a 93 Chevy cavalier. It has about 150,000 miles on it. For the past couple of days, i'll be coming up

If you are considering on getting the tC, I say wait till next year's model. This year's model will be old news...They will be redesigning it to incorporate more of what the Fuse looks like. The xb's redesign was from the T2B, I don't know where they got the idea for the xd...but the tC will be getting styling cues and features from the Scion Fuse Concept. So I would wait till next year to see what the new model has to offer before you buy this year's model. Redesigns usually fix the flaws of the previous generation. Just what I would recommend.

How do u know when traction control is inoperative?

I don't own one, but I just looked at it at the Scion website. I like it. I am a car nut, and I am from Canada where they are not available, but I would consider making the simple mods to meet the Canadian requirements. I liked the styling, options available (very funky), the colors, performance and safety. From a price point it looks reasonably priced, although with some of the options I would get myself aftermarket as they are a little pricey, but not out of line with other manufacturers. If Toyota makes it the quality wouldn't be an issue. I liked the layout of the dash, and the sound system looks good and the interior lighting and panoramic sunroof are kewl. I'm not sure how they rate for insurance, as in Canada there is a big difference between a 2dr and 4dr, (more for a 2dr) which doesn't make logical sense, but nothing I can do about. I don't know if that is an issue with you. Also I don't know what your age or future plans/marriage family..and if you plan on getting married and having kids, than a 2 dr is a pain in elbow, when your trying to put a car seat in. Other than that it looks like an awewome vehicle and I would consider purchasing it myself. I'm 43 so my kids are grown up. Thanks if it wasn't for u I wouldn't know anything about the Scion TC. Other cars you may be interested in are the Mazdaspeed 3, Hyundai Tiburon, VW Jetta which are all very well made. The Mazdaspeed 3 is turbocharged 4 cylinder, with 100 more horsepower than the Scion TC and very quick which interests me. You will be very surprised if you haven't taken a Tiburon for a test drive....I was pleasantly surprised of the standard features, and warranty. They are at the point where the Japanese were when they were building a reputation and personally I prefer them over Toyota's . The VW Jetta is a good looking car from the exterior, but parts are expensive and so are options. Hope this helps and enjoy your new ride.

I have a 1991 plymouth voyager van that needs transmission is it worth fixing?

I have an 06 TC Flint Mica and i love my car. I used to have a Honda H/B. I love to car because it goes fast and has so much leg room in the back. One thing bad about it is hard to get out when you are in the back seat. My kids love the car because in my area iam the only one that i have seen with black rims. Also my husband says it is a girls car because the peddles are small. It is a great car. My husband has had many races in it. So he loves it. All i can say is that it can keep up with an acura intergra gsr.
Also i love to way the car looks to. I have had some people mistake it for a lexus.

RDX snowing?

i bought an 07 tC in Aug and i love it.
im about 6'4" and i am able to fit in it fairly well, something that i couldnt say about a civic. mine is a manuel and it can get up and move if you want it too.
i also liked that i was able to have the dealership customize it quite abit to fit what i wanted and its all under warrenty from Toyota.
i will admit that i wish that it got civic gas milage or even xB mileage but over its still better then some other cars in its class.
it has also handled very well in all the snow that we have had this winter in Iowa. ABS kicks in quite abit sometimes and makes me cringe everything i hear because i think something is breaking, but i have yet to have to feel like i have lost control of the car.
i have also hauled some of my friends around and several of them have been impressed with how much room they have in the back seat.
