Yes. It happens every day. The real question is what kind of F.I. system do you want? The bigger the system...the higher the cost. It also depends on your HorsePower/TorQue goals for the engine. First thing is you need decide what kind of F.I. you want. Then your going to have to modify the wiring harness to accomodate the different engine and all of its sensors. The sensors are the "eyes and ears" of a fuel injection engine.

I gotta tell someone - this is funny?

The easiest, cheapest and most economical type of fuel injection General Motors came out with is the Rochestor TBI 220. It has been adapted to fit many different cars. From AMC's to Toyota Land Cruisers...it is one of the simplest types of F.I. to use.

A good starter on TBI can be found here at Third Gen.org:

How do I know if my 02 honda odyssey engine mounts need replace?

If you were to spend some time digging around on Third Gen...you would find out that the guys on there are doing some pretty impressive stuff with the boring old 2 bore Throttle Body Injection! 330+hp is not an unreasonable goal with this system. This is more than fine for a street cruiser and a TBI system will offer the "down low" grunt a heavy car...like an 1983 Malibu... needs to get moving. If you are looking at going in the 400 + hp range...you may want to consider another form of fuel injection. The TBI system becomes limited because it has only 2 bores for air intake and two wet based fuel injectors. It is very difficult to develop a high HP engine on a TBI engine because the air fuel mixture happens in the intake manifold instead of inside the cylinder like with Multi Port Fuel Injection where there are 8 seperate fuel injectors and each one is designated to an indivdual cyclinder.

I have a 1984 rabbit/convertible. And i was wondering if a 924 Porsche engine will fit in the car?

You may also want to consider the GM TPI fuel injection system. It was found in Corvettes, Camaros and Firebirds. In stock form it is not meant for a large car. So if you did want to use this type of F.I.you would need to change the configuration to allow the engine to develop a suitable amount of TQ to get your heavy Chevy going. The TPI system has been getting swapped into older Chevys for a long long time.

Has anyone heard of a Henry Jay automobile?

For the record...you could also do a Vortec engine or an LT1 engine or even the more modern LS1/6 engines but you would need to heavily modify the wiring harrness and it would be much more expensive then the previously mentioned GM fuel injection solutions above. These fuel injection system also use electroniclly controlled transmissions.

For a TBI system, I would also like to recommend this GM based computer. This is one of the computers the guys on Third Gen use to acheive such incredible feats with a TBI system. Its by a company called Dynamic EFI. This sytem will require tuning on a Laptop to tune the engine properly.

This is a good teaser for you to get started. There are many many companies that offer fuel injection solutions. Look at Accel DFI or Holley...there is also FAST Fuel Injection, Edledbrock Pro Flo, Mega Squirt and many many others. The sky is really the limit but it all really depends on your budget. You don't have to spend a lot to get something that will make driving your Malibu fun, fuel efficient and responsive.

I'm looking for a website where i can order the middle row seats for a 2001 Chevy suburban?

sure people do it everyday as long as you have the comp and the fuel tank with the fuel pump and the wiring harness then that is all you need to have, you want to make sure that you get the body mod to depending on wh ich vehicle that you got the5.7from and depending on how new the motor is or how new the vehicle is that y ou got the motor from you may have to have the comp reprogrammed because of the security system in the comp
