Question:
hello. i own a '01 focus and around 2 weeks ago i've entered a right hand (little bit uphill) large curve at 40mph and when i was exiting it the engine jerked a few times and then stopped. i cranked it for like 10-20 times and gave up. the tank was kind of 1/4 full and after i've put some gas (been towed to a gas station) it started, but since then when i try to "step on it" it pulls kind of slow while jerking and shaking and i have to depress the pedal. sometimes when it's pretty warm outside i hardly reach 50 mph. it runs ok in the morning or after a long park period. thanks.

It may have started because it cooled down when you had to wait for the tow truck. A lot of problems in newer cars can be traced to electronic crap and sensors - you may need to take it to a shop and have them run some diagnostics on it. Tell them to give you a quote before they do anything. It might cost a few bucks for them to look at it, but it shouldn't be too bad.How much HP does a 06' RSX TYPE S have?

Mpg for 1968 chevy camaro with 350 engine?
my car had similar problems, the engine started shaking rapidly, and a foul burnt plastic smell emerged. it turned out to at first, be the coil and 2 of the 4 spark plugs, then, after more money and research, the root of the problem turned out to be a bad intake valve, 2 of them, on two of the car's 4 cylinders. the damage left exhaust fumes and residue in the gas tank, and rendered the car virtually useless. I could only get two of the 4 cylinders worth of power (half engine speed), so the car could only drive up to about 40mph...02 1.8T VW passat engine shakes slightly for the first 2 minutes of startup?
