Did you know Toyota imports about 50% of vehicles sold in USA?

Question:
I just want people to know that Toyota imports about 50% of vehicles sold in the USA.I have told people this but they do not believe me,it is on the Toyota web site.Because Japan's goverment and Toyota keep the Yen undervalued they make $4500avg gain from each vehicle imported to USA.

Chrysler sebring?

The reason Toyota makes $4500 per vehicle is because of good engineering, did you know that despite the many models Toyota makes and sells worldwide, they only make one type of firewall? the sizes differ but the attachment points the way the wiring is routed is common between all vehicle, so basically if a worker is familiar with making one vehicle type he can go and work on a different vehicle very quickly. This increases their quality as well, as problems get resolved in one vehicle type, other vehicles are improved also, that is engineering instead of designing a vehicle and letting the customers do the testing. I will never buy a piece of junk just because its assembled in Michigan with Mexican parts.

My dad needs to know a website where they sell Lotus Esprit parts. He wants a new carbon fiber dashboard.?

Toyota makes a profit on vehicles made in the US also which by your numbers account for 50% of the production, so your exchange rate argument makes no sense. If you want to support US jobs boycott Wal-Mart where almost everything comes from china and is garbage.

So what? they are a foreign auto company, of course they are going to import some of their cars from their home country. They wouldn't exactly be a japanese auto manufacuturer if they didn't build cars in Japan now would they?

Help Please. 1998 Ford Tarurs with a high RPM Problem!!?

i own a shop, and this has been a well known fact for a long time now,but people are still buying them anyway,i do agree we need to buy within our own country ,because we need to boost our economy ,not japans, these vehicles are easy to identify though because it says right on the sticker where the manufacturer location is,i own dodge and Chevy,at least some one got to keep a job,but if you,ll notice there is actually more Chevy trucks on the road now than there was,i think were all waking up,maybe, just think how well our economy would be if the percentage was American cars sold here, there would be less lay offs ,maybe someday ,we can hope anyway ,good luck ,hope this helps.

Don't know where you got your information. Toyota accounts for 12% of North American imports. Of that 12%, 50 percent are imported whole and the other 50% are assembled in the USA or Canada, providing jobs for Americans and Canadian. If the Japanese in general didn't make a better product than domestic, then there wouldn't be any reason to buy foreign.

n ppl dont care if toyota is ripping off the US, as long as we, the consumers get the best product

Brought a 1996 Stang, and had a lot of engine work done.?

It's a world economy these days... and you can thank the Republican party for that... Good old Red, White and Blue... God Bless America, gun toting, flag waving, right wing Republicans are who you have to thank for those figures... Government is Pro-Business and screw the middle class... but wave that flag around and the middle class stand at attention... kind of like sheep following the rest of the herd over the cliff... It's downright Un-American to buy a damn JAP car ain't it boy ? Guess what... GM builds cars in lots of other places besides the US ! Yep, Baseball, Hotdogs, Apple Pie and Chevrolet... all easily replicated in good old.. MEXICO... home of CHEAP labor and lower pollution standards that allow those GM executives to line their pockets with more green Franklins... Hey Paco.. I want my Jimmy with blue leather seats ! American jobs are being eliminated and sent to places like MEXICO... and all of this is courtesy of big business and their best friend... THE REPUBLICAN PARTY !
Go ahead and buy a Chevy Tahoe built in good old CANADA or MEXICO and let Pierre or Paco get a GM paycheck and maybe even one of your fellow American's jobs for their brother... At least Toyota is willing to build plants here in this country and hire Americans... something that GM and Ford are less willing to do these days... when it's cheaper to build a Ranger or a LeSabre in good old Mexico City. Yeehaaa !!!

Where can i find a front fender (driver's side) for a 1963 ford falcon 4 door sedan?

Well considering Toyota is a Japanese-made car, this doesn't surprise me. And by the Japanese government making more money on Toyotas makes them cheaper for Americans. It's true. This is a true story: the U.S. government noticed how rapidly Japanese cars sold in America and raised the import tax on them. What did the Japanese car companies do? They lowered their price so you would be paying the same anyway. It works out for Japan and America.

Quality of life/ or Quantity of product, ford motor company?

I don't care where its made I want the best product for my dollar. If that is Japanese Toyota, OK!

Anyone knows which is the japanese car available?

You are worried about Japan. They are our ally and have supported the US even when we act like fools. Be worried about China. But wait, American car companies are tripping over themselves to build plants in China. Is building China's infrastructure for a quick buck "American" enough for you.
