Its not out of the question its just how good of a job you want done, its not a good job if they don't paint inside the door jams, I see way to many sucky paint jobs where they don't do that area and it pretty much say I have more money then brains kinda thing. lolThe A/C in my 2003 Doge Ram pickup (1500) blows ice cold until I stop moving. I'd trade it in first. It'll cost you about $1000 to get a decent paint job, assuming the body's in perfect shape, and the new paint finish will not be as durable as the original finish- so, you'll have little red spots in a couple years from rocks. With a Wrangler where there's a lot of exposed metal, and a cheap painter will try to skimp on semi-hidden areas which I know would bother me. You'll also significantly reduce the resale value- unless that's not an issue.Accordin to a guy i know who fixes cars red is one of the hardest colours to spray over its very noticable if the car gets scraped
the only way to do it correctly would be to pull it completely down to the body tub off the frame and strip the interior. the jeep just has too much exposed metal inside and underside showing to make it look original let alone good.
