VWs are fantastic cars. I've had nothing but great service from my four or five new ones and various used ones over the years.

Car manual for honda.?

Every car takes money to keep it up. If you ignore the needs of a Kia, a Toyota, or a Mercedes, it will let you down. A VW is no different. There are no cars that require NO maintenance or that never break down.

When will the 2008 civics/hondas come out??

That engine/transmission mount is very vital. Without it, the engine and transmission are "stressed" since they're not supported properly [the mounts are what holds the engine or transmission in the car - remove the mounts and your drivetrain will fall out on the street!]. :P

Is there anywhere in leeds I can walk in and have my volvo radio decoded while I wait. Thanks?

I'd recommend asking a VW garage [the dealership would likely cost more than your neighborhood VW mechanic] for the approximate cost of replacing those items before you buy the car. Probably just a couple hundred dollars. If you can't find a local VW shop [again, *not* the dealership], then just call the dealership's service dept and ask if they know of a good VW mechanic in the area. They'll probably hook you up.

Anything you can tell me about the 99 Ford Escort Z or CZ2? It's one of those ending letters.?

Good luck :)

Chrysler sebring engine sludge sounds like bs please help?

Just get the mounts replaced. The same thing happended to my Honda and it did not cost very much money. If you just let it alone, it will cause further problems to the car.

17" Rims or a Xbox 360, what would you buy?

This IS a big issue. Find another car! The mount itself shouldn't cost that much, but it's labor intensive and could lead to other problems.

Has anyone ever installed a turbo on a 1994 toyota pickup?

It's just the beginning of every thing else that's going to start breaking on a VW. yes it's a bad thing.

I'm looking at a 1996 Chevy Corsica for $3400 A/C is broken but everything else is perfect with 53k miles?

My instinct tells me it takes a lot to break an engine mount. If the engine mount is broken, it would make me suspicious of the rest of the car.

I am no mechanic, and have no information on how much that would cost to repair; I would wonder about what else is wrong with that Jetta.

How do I replace the rubber door seal on my VW camper?

My advice: ask the seller to repair it, then consider the car when the mount is repaired, and the car is drivable. If the car still seems to be in good condition, consider buying it even with the added cost. Otherwise, look elsewhere.
