Very simple.what is the gas mileage of a 1990 jeep cherokee?
Only Automatic Subaru's have this.
The reason it's there is if your car were to break down and a tow truck had to tow you to the garage, you have to put a fuse in there to disengage the AWD (making the rear wheels spin freely).

Or else if he's towing you car down the road with the fronts in the air and the backs on the road and your AWD is still engaged, then it can do serious damage to the transmission.

Unless you are noticing something in the vehicle that is not functional, I would not worry about it. It is typical for autos to have unused slots on fuse blocks and relay ports etc. Either your vehicle was not equipped with whatever option it was for, or it is a fuse block used on multiple vehicles made by subaru and your impreza didn't even have an option for whatever it did.need a 4PK995 fan belt for my subaru can't find one is there such a thing?
That fuse box is there to put the vehicle in to Front Wheel Drive. Since your car is AWD the fuse box is meant to be used when the spare tire is put on. Check your owners manual to find out how to properly operate it. I'm not sure if the fuse needs to be installed for it to go into FWD or if it needs to be removed. I do know that if you are operating in FWD a light would indicate that on your dash.what is the differnece between have and had?
Its an emergency fuse box i think since all subarus come in natural awd nowadays, it is a backup in case of any axel problems so if ur awd is not working a fuse couuld be used to initiate the front wheel drive system so that it will carry on smoothly for a while...What is that ticking sound at the back of my truck?
