my girlfriends 1.6 2004 coupe uses a lot of petrol . nothing near the claimed amounts. tyre pressures ok . justed been serviced. any ideas?

Go to Halfords or any good petrol station and look for a product called 'Hot Shot', its in a red bottle, next time you fill up, add the contents in after. it cleans all the injectors, you may notice a lot of muck coming out of the exhaust but this is normal. Its all the rubbish coming from the engine.

how many miles/kilometers on it if 15000 miles or same amount kilometers maybe air cleaner have you changed it. Tune up if engine sounds rough. Any gas smell?? sign of leak.
