Question:
By the time I went about a100 yards it felt like something just fell to the ground and felt like the e-brake went on and I just slid to the stop sign. It feels like someone is holding the e-brake while I'm trying to drive. I checked the transmition fluid and it was a little low so I replenished it and still having the same problem. Not noticing any leaks although would it leak where I would notice it, I don't know. I don't know what to do. Do you think it's the transmition? It felt like it fell out of my car and hit the ground but it didn't. What should I check. This car is a hunk of junk! It has 89,000 miles and I've already replaced the master cylinder after owning for 1 month. Many other parts have been replaced which were all break related. Should the car have not passed inspection with all these problems with the brakes from day 1? Okay really interested in what to do with these problems. Please help me!!

I own a shop, and have done a lot of work on the Neon's. It sounds to me like you have a brake that is locked up, and/or is locking up, and when it breaks loose it will make a loud noise. I would say it has a bad brake hose on one of the wheels causing it to do this. Try driving in reverse while hitting the brakes a few times to see if it continues to do it, or it breaks free and works right. This is a problem to be concerned with, as one wheel could lock up causing the vehicle to spin out of control. Sorry to say, but I think you again have brake issues.Glad to help out, Good Luck!

Its because you bought a Dodge. Should have bought an Acura.i own a repair shop,and i do a lot of the dodges here,id say from what you have said about it that the transmission is really in need of fluid,if it was that low it shouldn't have pulled in,where it was,also if it had that bad of a leak in it,it would have left a spot on the ground,and you would have noticed it ,you need to have this one checked out really good because it sounds like it needs some work done on it been at this for 36 years,and those are good cars when there right,good luck with it,hope this helps
