1998 328i BMW?

I own a shop, and have seen this done. The intakes are different as in how they bolt on, so you will have to get an aftermarket intake. Compare the bolt patterns of each, and you will see what I mean. If it was me, I wouldn't do it. A lot of people think the 305 heads will make more power on a 350 because the cc of the combustion chambers are smaller. It will get your compression up higher, but they have smaller valves, and don't flow good on a 350 due to the quench area of them. There is good Vortec heads, and there is some not so good Vortec heads. The 305 Vortec heads are great on a 305, but will slow your 350 down because your timing will have to come down to keep the detonation down to a tolorable level. If you will measure the bore of the 350 cylinder, and then measure the bore area on the 305 heads, you will see there will be an overhang of quite a bit on the 305 heads. Carbon tends to build up on this overhang, and the detonation will get worse and worse as time progresses. You will keep backing the timing down to make it go away or risk damage to the pistions. You would be much more ahead of the game to just find a set of 350 Vortec heads, and use them. You may be suprised at how cheap a new set is from the dealer. You can get a set complete for under $500, and a used set for a couple of hundred dollars, but the used set would need to be serviced with new seats, seals, guides, and grinding the valves. This would be a couple of hundred bucks in machine shop work, so as you can see it just wouldn't be worth it. Besides the runners on the 305 heads are smaller and won't flow the air the 350 runners will. You would be better off having your 350 heads redone, and machine the surface to get the compression up. Do a mild port grind, and you got some good heads that will make plenty of power. I know this, been there and done it before.
Part 2:
If you will go to www.chevyhiperformance.com and look up the cylinder head bench flow tests they have done (and continue to do) you will find every head GM made. You will also find that I'm correct in telling you these heads may even slow your car down. Also; check out www.gmperformanceparts.com or
www.goodwrench.com
You will find you can buy a complete set of the good Vortec heads for under $500 for the pair. Don't waste your time, or money on the heads you have now. I don't know if they made a "92" Vortec head or not, but some vortec heads are crap, as not all those are the good one's. The 305 heads that most people go for have the big valves, and are called the "Torquer" heads. The one's you have don't, and won't work.
Glad to help out, Good Luck!

Is the seven speaker Pioneer System option in the Chevy Cobalt really good?

yes, both are small block Chevy's they will bolt up with no problems.

About how much would a master brake cylinder for a 1989 dodge d150 cost from a junkyard?

Yes, but you have to use the newer intake

What is the co2 emissions for a bmw 330i auto E46 version?

well let me tell you what i have done, I have a 88 S-10 stuffed full of small block.this is a fuel injected truck,i looked for 3yrs. to find the engine for this trk. it is out of a76-monza it is a 262 small block making 300hp with 96 vortec 350 heads. mind you that these heads have had work did on them but not as far as the mounting. they will bolt up to just about any small block

Does the 1996 dodge ram 1500 have a choke thermostat?

Well...first off...the 1992 305 engine didn't have Vortec heads. If memory serves correct they were most likely swirl ports but I could be wrong. Please do your research on Chevy Swirl Port cylinder heads. They are known to be one of the worst cylinder heads Chevrolet ever made. I have a 1993 Caprice with a 350 5.7L w/ swirl port cylinder heads and its rated stock at 180hp. It is probably the most under powered 350 on Earth. On the other hand...Swirl Port Heads CAN be ported and polished to acheive the flow numbers of the later Vortec castings. This can be done but at a cost and lots of shops will tell you an aftermarket aluminum set would be the better investment.

I want to change the seats from my Chevy Malibu 00. Would the 07 seats fit?

I have seen dyno numbers (...online at Third Gen...) of the Caprice 193 Swirl Port casting hand ported/polished in someone's garage...in terms of flow and performance they mimic the later model Vortec heads exactly to a T. The good thing about using the stock casting is that you wouldn't need a different intake or modify the heads to accept a different intake. The main draw back to using the 193 casting cylinder head for performence reasons is that they can't accept A LOT of lift from the valve springs. Since these were the first "Lightweight" castings GM released...a spring that is too strong will fracture the heads. A stock LT1 cam with LT1 springs is about all these heads can handle in stock form.

2005 Pontiac G6 GT?

The pre 1985 cylinder heads are different from 1986 & later cylinder heads. They can be but probably shouldn't be swapped. The combustion chambers are different sizes and the technology between years...carbs vs. fuel injection...is quite different in means of fuel delivery. As said in a previous post...the thing you need to be concerned about is not just the size of the combustion chambers but the size of the valves. Normally ...larger valves...more air coming in and more exhaust going out...is more desireable. Make sure to do a little research on the shape of the cylinder head's combustion chamber in relation to the spark plug. Some are round and others are kidney shaped. The design is significant for performence reasons. Some were designed for economy and others for power.

Does anyone else know where i can find some white out (clear) tail lights for a 98-02 GS 300 Lexus?

The other thing is the 85 and earlier and 86 and later intake manifolds have different mounting holes.so do the 96 and later Vortec cylinder heads.and don't forget about TPI Heads...they are a different breed too! The Vortec cylinder heads need an intake manifold where the mounting screws get installed vertical...straight up and down. Earlier model cyliinder heads require the bolts to go in at a 45* angle. They can be modified to accept the different intake manifold but again...this is just more money.

I have a 94 nissan maxima I changed water pump thermostat, all belts hoses clamps, still overheating any help?

If you are looking for Vortec cylinder heads... take a look at the small port Vortec performence cylinder head. It is probably the best bang for your buck set you can find. (Just remember...you would need a Vortec style intake manifold.) I also like the Fast Burn cylinder head. It has a smaller combustion chamber...which is good for raising compression ratio and it has both sets of intake manifold mounting holes (Vortec and traditional) built in. This means many different types of intakes can be swapped whenever it is desired.

My pal ordered a "chip" for his 96 dodge ram V8, and I need your opinion...?

When considering heads make sure not to get a runner length that isn't meant for your application. Runner lengths of 190cc and below are considered good for street driven applications...200cc and higher are considered drag strip use.

Even though 20 inch rims will fit on a Nissan Maxima, but is the ride going to be normal?

Hope this helps.

Any one know what other headrests fit a 2001 shogun Sport?

yes you can but you will have to use the 350 with the new heads and the new intake system other then that the computer won't know the difference

Can i put a 2 din system in my 03 mitsubishi eclipse w/o cutting into the dash?

Gm didn't start using Vortec heads until after the'96 model year and not with a TBI. Are you sure of what you have? Any heads off of a TBI have a swirl port design and really are no good after 3500 rpm.
