How do you turn the alarm off on my 2005 chevy cobalt LS coupe?

Question:
I just got my car today and it has automatic locks and its all power but i dont have keyless entry yet...cause its a used car...anyhow..when i lock my car and then unlock my car my alarm goes off and then it gets really loud and it only stops when i start the car...does anyone know how to shut it off...i have to go back and get the manual from the dealership and that will take alittle while so in the meantime can someone help! thanks

I have a 2005 Sunfire which is pretty much the same as a 2005 cobalt, and I have to use the remote to unlock the doors. If I only use the key the alarm goes off. So you need a remote control, if you dont you should get one from the dealer.
