Question:
I have a 2001 grand cherokee with the 4.0 and i noticed lately that the belt has a lot of wear on it. I know i need to replace it but i was wondering how big of a job it is. if it is fairly simple i was just going to do it myself but if it is more advanced i was going to take it in. How hard is it and how long should it take? also if i take it in how much should i expect to pay??

Can anyone tell wot the( o/d off light) is on a toyota previa?
Look for the tensioner, it has a 3/8ths hole that you put a ratchet into.put the ratchet in, and take the tension off the belt, and then slip the belt off the easiest pulley, usually the water pump pulley because it is smooth.
Once the belt is off the water pump pulley you can release the ratchet from the tensioner, but dont release the ratchet until your fingers are clear, because it can grab your fingers between the pulley and belt.
Remove the old belt, get the new belt back on, than put pressure on the tensioner again, and slip the belt over the water pump pulley, and you are done

Go to autozone and ask them for the same one. Pick the brand you want. I believe I've spent less than $20 on my 350. As for putting it on that easy as taking it off. Hard to explain how to do it. Mine took 10 mins to do.
