Major weight reduction- that beast i know is in the 2750-3300 range- Air intake system with a cone filter will help the bottum end,Thinner oil will help just a little. Pacesetter makes a pretty cheap exhaust system- they are around 300 bucks for the whole system.

While NOS systems are relatively cheap, do not forget to factor in the costs associated with prepping your engine for such a setup. Fill up your tank with 91 octane and then go to pep boys and buy those octane boosters. They range anywhere from $5 to $50 but if it's a cheap fix in acceleration you want, that is the way to go. The only con is if you want your car to maintain that performance, you'll have to buy octane booster everytime you fill up your tank.Do Hyundai Elantras use Mitsubishi motors ??
