2007 VW Rabbit, GTI question?

Question:
i bought a 2007 2 door VW Rabbit about 2 months ago, ever since then i have bought new rims for it and got a Greddy Catback Exhaust system for it which sounds pretty loud, now on to my question i recently looked on google and i saw the 0-60 for 07 Rabbit is 9 sec. and i checked the GTI 0-60 and it says 6.7 sec., i decided to take mine and test it out, i bought automatic so it comes with sports mode and i did 0-60 in 6.9 sec., did exhaust make my car go as fast as the GTI?

Sorry to bust the bubble. Your testing is inaccurate.

Get the 1/4 mile times from the brochure/magizine and run at a real racetrack and get "Official" times to compare.

Any opinions on Greenleaf Health Care in Fort Dodge, IA?

2 things working against you- 0-60 by your speedo isn't the way the Factory/magazine tested it, they have added on equipment to do that. You have an automatic- sport or not slower! You changed the wheel/tire package "several" times since purchase and any error in the tire diameter will thrash the accuracy of your speedo.

The cognisenti do not accept that you actually got anywhere near a 6.X 0-60 MPH acceleration run. Sorry

I have a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix SE, I can't always get it out of park and the key often gets stuck.?

I am a VW tech. I doubt that you made that much improvement. The 2.5 L 5 cylinder your car comes with has good power and believe it or not, Lamborghini designed the cylinder head for it. However, an open exhaust would not add the 50 extra horsepower the GTI has. How did you time the 0-60.? A g-meter would give you a pretty accurate reading. Doing it by a stop watch or something might not.

I have a 2002 Jetta. Anybody know of a good repair shop in the metro atlanta area?

No. The speedometer is reading slow you wasn't doing 60 MPH. Check it with a GPRS system.

Which German car maker makes the Ford Mondeo?

Yeah, I've got to agree with everyone else. There's no way you made that kind of time.

Has anyone ever owned an AMC Gremlin?..?

An aftermarket exhaust will gain you anywhere from 8 to 15 hp max. I havent been in the new 2.5 vw im sure its nice and pretty quick. The gti's 20.t is the same engine in the A3 and A4 with the automatic its actually fater. They have tested the manual and the automatic with pro drivers and found the dsg auto won everytime. Its double clutch system is smooth and so quick its amazing. I have the dsg A3 2.0t so I have some insight on the quick shifting. Does the rabbit have the dsg transmission? I wonder. RAbbit is a nice looking car have fun.
