the first answer had good tips. go to fueleconomy.gov and see what the norm is for your vehicle..properly rotate and inflate tires.
don't go over speed limit
check air filter
keep proper oil changes
try a gas additive
don't load up the trunk and back seat
no thats not normal, you should get at least 20 or better if a 6 cyl. and close to 30 if a 4 cyl., have it tuned up and put 35 lbs. of air pressure in the tires, also synthetic oil will help give you better gas mileage, check your air filter, you probably need a new one.

i own a shop,and normal on those is around 17-25 maybe 28 depending on the high way your on,so your not doing too bad,and if you put your foot in the pedal once in a while you can expect the mileage to be a lot less,but those aren't the best on mileage,and not the worse either,i had one that got around 22 ,that was all i could get from it,good luck with it,i hope this helps.More Questions & Answers ...
