What is faster? A stock BMW M3 or an Audi S4..?

Question:
Not an A4.. S4.. lets say who was faster in 2000, 2002 and 2006. Strictly stock cars. which ones were faster? I want an S4 and i want to put A4 badges on it and have a serious sleeper. thanks.

The M3 is faster than the B5, B6, and B7 S4s (the 2000 S4 is the same model as the 2002 - a B5). The B7 RS4 puts up numbers similar to (and slightly better than) an e46 M3.
