Question:
Hello all...I am attempting to inspect my 2003 Audi 1.8t for problems and need some knowledge.
I have noticed a thin layer of oil surrounding the outside of the 90 degree pipe elbow that attaches to the air induction. This pipe goes from the air induction to the turbo. It isn't dripping, and just appears to be a thin wet layer.
What are the compare and contrast of a Camero and a Firebird sports car?
My mechanic said that was normal, but I would like other opinions. Is it normal for a little bit of oil to appear on the outside of the air induction piping for the turbo?
Answers:
How good are the 2005 wrxs and wrx sti?
What is important is to look inside the pipe you describe if there is evidence of oil inside the pipe this could be a problem starting with your turbo. Also make sure that your engine is not overfull with oil .Regards Mick own and work on Audis.it is normal for turbos to leak a little, but this car is only 4 years old, I would take it to other dealer.
