you need to disconnect the key-in switch on the key cylinder. just remove the plastic covers on the steering column, and you will see the 2 wire switch on the cyl. the dinger box does more than just that, and the fuse controls more circuits than just the ding circuit.

crazy-n-u is right to a point... you have to remove the covers around the steering column..remove the ignition key cylinder remove the one wire that is attached to the column and take it up and reassemble... No other way to deactivate the chime... old days you could disconnect the dinger but not it's built inside the module that controls most everything else. fuse is same thing
