Reprogramiing a604 dodge transmission. Hard / clunk shift into overdrive (hot)?

Question:
trans just completely overhauled. new solenoid valves, has temp related code. replaced cooler. dealer must reprogram with oem update (i'm told)

most mechanic shops can reprogram the tranny codes. it sounds like a mechanical problem since the shifting is hard and not engaging. take it back to the repair shop and have them check it out. they should also already installed the oem codes for it before they left the shop. it will still be under warranty, and they have to fix it, at their expense, not yours.
