You will see more Diesel engines here in the US starting in 2007. We now use an Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel fuel plus specific components that clean the emissions so now diesel engines can run in the U.S. as clean as regular gasoline motors.

Because its a whole new line of manufacturing for Toyota..Diesel engines required much more maintenance than gasoline engine and Toyota sells much more of it than GM and Fords by quantity proportional. Also there're more competition with GM trucks/ Ford where it has been dominated US markets for 30-40 yrs. Less mechanics were trained to work with Toyota Diesels engine comparing to GM/Ford. Last of all, most of Toyota gasoline engine is far more reliable and mostly economy why should they start to invest in Diesels ?Is there any recalls on '07 Chevy Aveo?
they didnt meet the emissions requirements here. however, they will be releasing a diesel in teh Tundra SOON. keep an eye out for it. when its out it will walk all over dodge and chevy. nobody will beat ford soon. they have a contract with cat with the alison transmission behind them. in other words...unstopableMore Questions & Answers ...
