It could be a faulty radiator or a knock sensor that has stopped the fan speed. I remember in 2000 there was a recall on some century's and the problem still persisted for about 6 months. If I were you I would take it to a GM dealer and pay 70.00 dollars to have them check your engine out and if you let them fix the problen the $70 is applied towards that total.Any turbo kits for a 1998 subaru legacy gt?

It could be bad main bearings, bad rod bearings, bad wrist pin, could be any number of things, you should get it to a repair shop before you cause unrepairable damage91 ford thinderbird - removing waterpump?
Sounds like your lifter's are going bad. When the oil pressure builds up the hydrolic lifters get full and the noise disappears. Have the same problem with my truck. But I do have 112,649 miles on it. Could also be your oil pump not getting oil to the lifters fast enough. Mine sounds like I have a diesel till it warms up a bit then runs fine. Its called piston slap.As the engine warms the piston expands & noise goes away.If it is too loud have it fixed. Not a cheap repair though.
