the running lights and head lights went off last night and will only come on once in a while--- after turning them on repeatedly, the parking lights will come on and stay on

you could have a problem with the electrical connector to the headlight switch (found at the back of the switch under the dash) or the switch could be defective. test out all of the lights to make sure that you have none burned out. see if you can push the connector back onto the headlight switch
