What you could do is go to an AUTO ZONE. They have a section just for car/truck colors..I went there to get the color of my Dodge Pickup..I had a huge scratch all the way down from when I went into the woods and you saw the primer! It was horrible..So I went to Dodge and they said that they dont make that color any more (my truck is a 95) So I went to Auto Zone, found the color and they even let me take it out of the store to match it up! And it was the color of my truck!! But they also have booklets or whatever on the year, make and models they used the paints on...So go there and see if that works! You probably bought the car from someone that had it custom painted?You are gonna have to ask a dealer on this one.. It may be a special color for that year for the SHO.
Most Ford lookups only go back 10 years.. however most part departments have parts catalogs that go back into the 1980s and should be able to cross reference it.

If not a auto paint supplier should be able to find it.. if not in their charts, they usually have help lines and as a last thing.. they can take a special kind of picture with a special camera that can analyze and give you a real good idea on the conposition of colors in the paint.

sorry i work at a ford dealership and I'm there right now so i ran your vin and fords system called oasis only goes back 10 yrs so no help but-------there is a safety recall 98s36 sub frame plate bolts are needed to be checked so call your local dealer and get it in hope this helps mike dMore Questions & Answers ...
