The side you're referring to is most likely the drivers side, front area... this is common (occurs in >90% of older Volvos) and it's likely lower by .5-1.25 inches- correct? If this is a chronic condition, the solution is to replace the springs, both at the same time. It's not your tire, as one guy mentioned, and not your strut (it's only for cushioning the ride, not weight bearing).
