1994 BMW 740iL?

Question:
I was doing 62 mph on the freeway when a truck was on my tail, so I punched the accelerator to go faster, and I heard a loud "POP" underneath. Now I gotta coast to the side because the transmission ain't working. Motor is fine, but transmission won't engage AT ALL, not drive,not neutral, or reverse. Prior to this, NO problems with transmission. My computer does not show it's not working. Please, what can it be?

Sounds like the torque converter. In any case, there's not much you can do. You're just going to have to pay your BMW tech to fix it. Bring your credit card (unless you carry a couple of grand on your person).
