Shelby GT 500 in the future?

You have to put the truck in neutral to shift into or out of 4-low, but I assume that you already knew that since you got it into 4-low to begin with. There's probably a problem with the solenoid in the transfer case.

I want to get a jeep liberty.?

first of all i will let you know that there is a widespread campaign otherwise known as a recall on your truck. the four wheel drive switches on those trucks frequently go bad and do exactly what you are describing. if you take our truck to the dealer they will do what is called a VIS which is where they run your trucks Vin number against the gm database and determine if this recall has been fixed or not, if not they will fix it free of charge. if that is not the case, there are some vacuum lines that go into the transfer case to the solenoid, especially since it is lifted you are gonna want to make sure all of these are connected, it should be a group of three together that plug onto the same bolt looking thing. lol, that's your solenoid. i hope this was a help. good luck
