Yea Brandon, I remember seeing my first drag race betwen a GTO and a hopped up "55 Chevy" the sounds of those motors ,first at a lope and then revving up and launching.The smell of that rubber burning and those engines screamin"!It ,at the same time scared the crap out of me but also gave me goose bumps. But I had to have more as these 2 guys were friends of my Dad and cousin.I got to ride in both of these cars later on and the thrill of the acceleration,pinning ya back in the seat,rear end fishtailing just a little. Me and my buddies when we reached our 20's and had good jobs and we had fast cars and would go to the track on Sat. nite and run.For most of us thiough,that kept the cars realized it was getting expensive trying to "one up" each other. I still have 3 friends that race. 2 of them are weekend warriors and one took motorcycle drags all the way to win thw National in "85" He still races NHRA and finishes in the top ten. Thats really more of a statement then a question. But drag racing can be expensive if you want to be competitive. People are fighting for thousandths of a second for a victory. It can also be very fun and cheap if only doing it as a hobby on the weekend.Is it true that the VW Passat gets into accidents all the time?
