If you have changed the motor already and it still is doing the same exact thing, Check the Cooling fan or radiator (They get plugged up sometimes).well if your car is over heating, it more than likely has nothing to do with the engien.

Fans not working, thermostat bad, serpentine belt not installed right, bad radiator, hoses collapsing due to age or missing spring inside. Or...did you follow the correct procedure for removing air from the system? This will do every time. I have a 96 Firebird, with the LT1. Also could be that the condenser coil for the air conditioning is plugged up and not air circulate properly.Does Mercedes cover warranty for manufacturer's defects even after 7 yrs?
Or it could be bad head gasket, or plugged passages in the engine. But I think that if you check the first things out, you will find the answer. Take the thermostat out first and run the car without it. See if it still over heats. But make sure you bleed the air from the system.

Check EGR operation,See if air dam under radiator is missing,Exaust system may be partially plugged.Make sure the thermostate is working correctly.Timeing could be to far advanced.Radiator may need to be replaced.It is your radiator..... get a new one... also make sure your cooling fan is coming on.... there could be a relay for that as well.
