2007 Toyota Prius? Personal opinions, handling, performance, reliability, problems, pluses, minuses, ect?

Does anyone know how to remove a factory 2003 Honda Civic radio?

It's built for two primary purposes and does those extremely well. The first is to provide comfortable transportation for 4 and occasionally 5 people. It's comfortable, not imense, but average in size for a 5-passenger sedan/hatchback. For some the headroom may be a bit lacking especially for the rear seat passengers, but for most it's reasonable.

How much should it cost to have both sets of control arm bushings put on an 89 Toyota Camry?

The second purpose is to have as little environmental impact as possible. They use non-toxic and/or recycled/recyclable materials where-ever possible in the production of this vehicle.

New Camry Taxi?

It's not a performace vehicle in terms of handling, accelleration or braking but fits within the averages of similar sized/priced vehicles from other manufacturers. The technology does have somewhat of a learning curve to get the best performace figures in terms of gas mileage, but otherwise drives like any other modern automobile.

How many miles do you think i can get out of a jeep wrangler?

If you're looking for something that will have as little environmental impact as possible, get very good gas mileage and make a statement every time you go about your business going to and from locations, then the Prius is the right vehicle for you. If you're looking for a hot-rod, then it isn't. That's about the gist of the whole decision making process about the Prius.

Swap trannies?

Hope this helps.

Is driving a standard car really that difficult?

What is the #1 cylinder on a 1997 ford 5.4 l engine?

I like my Prius, for a 4 cylinder its pretty good and its cheap to gas up.

My power windows in my 92 corrado slc quit working along with my alarm system. Any suggestions?

handling and performance are marginal on them, but they are not billed as performance machines. they get good gas mileage, but parts are not cheap. you need to weigh for yourself if they are worth the extra expense for the gas saved.

Does the TRD Exhaust that's on a 06 tC fit the 07 tC model?

This is another loooong answer from me, so get comfy.
Prius are designed for a specific use, which is as little environmental impact as possible. The Prius is not a sports car, nor a minivan. Do not expect blistering performance numbers or 8 passenger seating. Just like you wouldn't expect to seat four comfortably in a Miata or race against a Viper.
Handling takes getting used to because the steering, braking and accelerator are all electronic, not gear- or cable-driven like on a standard four door sedan. Expect a learning curve, like when you switched from a stick shift to an automatic.
Reliability has been excellent. Anything you may have seen in a blog or online about the electrical system or the batteries going bad after 2-5 years and costing $5-10,000 is completely false. Toyota has not had a battery go bad yet, and some Prius are still running the same batteries with over 360,000 miles on them. This is just another bad urban myth, continued on by people who are looking for something to knock hybrids on.
As far as problems or minuses, remember that this is a hatchback, so you have to get used to seeing out the rear hatch setup. That will take getting used to.
Also, if you expect to hotrod and brake late and get the EPA numbers, you're going to be plenty mad. There is a learning curve to driving responsibly and if you take the time, you should expect to get an average of 51-52 pretty easily in warmer months without constant highway driving. Your mileage will go down when it gets cold out because the gas engine runs more to provide heat for the cabin. The air conditioning is not linked to the gas engine, so do not be concerned about turning it off to save gas. Turn on the auto temp, set it to the degree you want and leave it on and alone. It's an auto temp system, so it will wait to blow air that's the right temp and it will maintain the selected temp year round.
Also, check your tire pressure using the sticker on the frame of the driver's door 2x a week. 35psi for the fronts and 33psi for the rear tires. And throw away the cheapy $2 stick gauge and buy a decent $10-15 digital gauge. Never use the pressure that's stamped on the tires, that's the maximum safe pressure from the manufacturer. On the Goodyear Integrity that come on the Prius, that pressure is 45psi, much higher than what the real world pressure should be.
Pluses are many, including brake pads that should never wear out with normal use because of the regenerative braking system. The continuously variable transmission is a sealed unit and is not flushed (so don't let some place charge you for a tranny flush every 30,000 miles). The gas motor is not tuned up for 100,000 miles. The electrical system is not touched for the life of the car. You can get many advanced systems in one vehicle, because this is the flagship tech vehicle for Toyota. You can get Smart Key which means you never take the key out to open or lock doors or start and stop the car. You can get stability control on top of the traction control and ABS that already come on the Prius (get the stability control). Stability is a fantastic system to help keep you in control if the road is slippery. The GPS navigation is voice directed and voice guided and uses a DVD, so there is no monthly subscription costs. And the Prius has Bluetooth hands free cell phone linkup, so when the phone is in the car, you just press a button on the wheel and you can make and answer calls without ever touching the phone.
