Question:
My codes say im having a misfire on spark plugs 1 and 4 toyota dealship says I need spark plugs and an ignition coil.. Now I have several questions.. First question.. do I have 3 or 6 ignition coils? And if I have 6 does anyone know where the other 3 ignition coils are located at. Next question what is the deal with the spark plugs everyone tells me something different there is like 15 different kinds I can buy for my car I just want the same kind I have in my car now but I dont know where to get them from and I am not on good terms with the only toyota dealership in town.. I dont even know what kind I have ugh I read that Bosch will screw up my toyota and cause bad gas millage. If anyone has a solara and knows anything about it please help me all I keep hearing from repair shops is my engine is too complicated to work on:(

#1 cylinder fires #2 Cylinder and #3 coil fires #4 so coil wont fix in this case 2 misfires unless there thinking a plug is fowled , did they diag this hands on or they just gessing, as to what plugs to put in toyota plugs are denso but ngks will work just fine platnium or iridium tip. Hope i could help.
I have the same year and model,luckily no problems with either,was told that to change the plugs takes 3 hrs and the platinum plugs are expensive.
