Question:
I have this Blazer and I only get roughly 10.5 miles per gallon. It takes alot to get it up to speed. What can I do to improve my gas milege, and does anyone have idea of what a blazer should be getting. I've replaced the plugs, cap, wires, airfilter, fuel pump/sending unit/filter. I have put alot of dry gas through it and doesn't seem to be helping. I am having the y pipe replaced and would anyone agree if I should replace the convertor. I love driving it, and really want to continue driving. Please help anyway you can.

Most likely there's a converter, fuel injection, cam lobe, or compression issue. My 98 S-10 4 wheel drive has a 4.3 with 3.73's and gets 24 mpg on trips. The only other motor option of that time was a pukey 4 cylinder.
