Possibly, although realistically probably not. Using a BOV will cause your car to run rich between shifts, so if somehow this leads to engine problems, then yes, your warranty could be voided. Of course, this varies wildly from dealer to dealer, so if you do need work done on your car, make sure you take it to a mod friendly dealer. I have seen people blow their engines with nitrous and still have the engine replaced under warranty, and at the other end, I've seen warranties voided over cold air intakes. The best thing I can say is know your dealer before they touch your car. But generally, no, a BOV won't void your warranty.

Where can I purchase a right hand drive Pontiac Fiero here in Australia? Not the GT though.?

EDIT: For the people who are saying that any mod will void your warranty, that's not the case. My car is mildly modified (Stage 2) and has never been back to the dealership since I took it off the lot, and when I blew my engine from running lean at WOT, Subaru replaced my engine with no questions. So it just depends on the dealer, more than anything. Subaru is generally more mod friendly than most other car manufacturers, but that's because they've made a lot of money from the tuning crowd with the WRX/STi. Still, you can find better things to purchase with the money you're going to spend on a BOV. If you're determined to get one though, I recommend picking up a used one off NASIOC, as there's plenty to choose from. People do this all the time, then realize they're not a decent mod and sell them. But good luck to you.

What does it mean when someone says they have a 440 in their camaro?

The burden of proof falls on the manufacturer to prove the modification caused a failure, according to the law. Keep that in mind when you are tuning.

Where can I find a 1980-85 Jeep Grand Cherokee Golden Eagle?

The dealership is a private company and there is no law that will protect you if they refuse to work on your car due to any modifications you make. They do not work for Subaru. They only SELL and REPAIR Subarus. They have the right to refuse service just like you have the right to go to any dealer of your choosing.

Voiding the warranty may be a bit extreme, I have only seen this done to flood vehicles and any cars that were in major accidents. You just have to find a mod friendly dealer. A BOV may cause damage to your catalyst system in the long term - but that's about it. Any other damage / undesired operation may be a result of poor installation and initial settings / adjustments. Remember, If you break / damage something while installing your BOV, Subaru WILL NOT pay for the repairs. Warranty only covers factory defects and workmanship. If you don't hack your car up, you should be fine. Most installers and D.I.Y-ers don't consult service manuals. That's your map - you're lost without your map. Many dealers are not mod friendly (possibly due to their company policy or lack of knowledgeable technicians) - especially if you don't have your vehicle serviced there. But there are some that will look the other way. Just ask around your area.

How can i add more HP to my 4.6L V8 1996 XR7?

It depends what you go in for, then cannot void the warranty based on a modification unless then can prove that the modification directly caused the problem, look up the Magnuson Moss warranty act. If your O2 sensor, EGT sensor, or cats puke, they will instantly point a finger at your bov. If you go in because your car idles like piss, they will instantly point a finger at your BOV. If you throw a code and they find it was something to do with any of the sensors they will point at your BOV and charge you for the diagnosis. Of course there are mod friendly subaru dealers, but they are few and far between. In my area there are 7 subaru dealers within a 45 minute drive in any direction. Out of those 7 one of them is ok about mods, if there are any troubles that they think caused it, they will work with you and be polite, but you'll still end up paying, and one dealer that is very mod friendly that usually won't say a word about minor mods, again, unless they think your mod caused the problem.

A mod that actually does more harm than good is really hard to justify. If you want to hear a little BPV, get the SPT intake and you'll hear more turbo whine, plus you'll hear the stock BPV vent pretty well. Otherwise be prepared for an odd idle, quite a bit of afterfire, a black puff every time you shift, and the worst part from it is you'll get a split second of hesitation from going so rich between shifts. The growl of a good turbo back exhaust, and if you insist an intake, is far more ominous than making a noise between shifts. Been there done that. With my last wrx(little wagon) I went through many of the trial and error bits doing the "I don't give a crap what they think" and went with an intake, bov, all that crap, all of the worthless stuff. After going through 5 different BOVs, I finally gave up and dented the can on a stock BPV and could hold boost from a PE1820 just fine, and I found 330whp out of a 2.0l was far more scary to others than making a noise when I shifted. I tried TurboXS RFL, HKS SSQV, GFB Hybrid, Turbo smart Veeport, and APS Twin vent. The Twin Vent and GFB hybrid were ok, but with all of the piston type BOVs the piston tends to get sticky and you get odd things start to happen. The SSQV was ok at idle but since it is full atmospheric, the between shift hesitation was really bad. Look on the subaru forums and see how many people sell their bovs and are not selling their cars.

The only reason I went with a BOV on my STi was because I went with an FMIC and am running silly boost levels out of my GT35R, so I had no choice, but I also run a Hydra EMS and tuned it pretty well so my idle is as smooth as can be, for a stroked cammed motor at least. I also found that an SSQV mounted on an FMIC actually sounds like its supposed to, for some reason on the top mount it was a short quick whistle and not the "sequential" throbbing sound.

HKS Super-SQV blow off valve..! it would do NO harm to the engine.. dont even bother bout the waranty

Anyone who has or had a Saab 900S can you please provide your opinion on this car? Thanks!?

Yes it will. Sorry to say bit I have seen this before, any modification an a WRX or STi, Subaru usually voids the warranty. I know of a guy who blew his tranny and because He had a performance muffler on it Subaru voided the warranty. He fought it and lost. That is just one of a few, I was involved in. Get it in writing from Subaru HO before any modifications are done. Good Luck!!

Hi Vauxhall Vectra 2.0?

Ok, need some info about the BOV. If it's an atmospheric vent only, DON'T DO IT! It will cause problems and NO THEY ARE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. If it's a recirculating type, what's the point. The stock one can handle up to 25psi before it causes problems. But since you've made up your mind, if you have a problem with anything that is not the engine then it should be covered. If it's with the engine, you may have a fight on your hands. The dealership I go to, they actually want you to modify your car. It doesn't void the warranty according to them, they like modified Subies. I guess it depends on the dealership.
