Question:
I am looking at buying a 1967 VW beetle. In pretty good shape, has been in garage entire time. Paint job is orginial as are all the parts. Paint looks good, some rust on bumpers, seats are in good shape, floor is worn. Nothing is so bad cannot be replaced or repaired. Overall pretty good but they want 5,200. Might get them down to 5,000. have seen restored ones for sell but would have to pay to get it sent to Tenn. I think it might be a good deal but would like to get some opinions from others
thanks

I once heard the 1967 VW was the best year. they originally cast $900.A 67 Beetle is a one of a kind, it has early bumpers and late headlights, first year for 12 volt system and can be pretty rare because they are different and people want them. If the car is in good original shape 5000.00 is not to much to pay.
How much boost can I run on a stock engine?
nobody buys a car just to stick it in the garage. It has been driven. However, with that said, VW's are pretty good with all parts available for replacement. So basically you are looking at body condition and interior condition and would you spend that much for that car? The seller is hoping to get as much as they can and you the least...have you anything to compare in your area pricewize? My 406 wont start, Please help!!?
Sparkey's right, the '67 is a one-off year. This can be a bit of a problem, because a lot of parts are unique to the '67. They're one of only few years a VW freak can ID at a glance. However, this also makes them one of the most sought-after years. $5K probably isn't bad, I live in upstate NY where nice '60's bugs bring a lot more than that in the rough. FYI, They went about $1800 new.More Questions & Answers ...
